Property-tax local instructions: Online access after a rejected payment; saved text paragraph 16
If you are trying to pay your taxes online (secured, unsecured, prior years) and you are unable to this is most likely because you submitted an online payment that was previously rejected by your financial institution. You should have received a notification from our GovHub processor informing you of the rejection and you can verify this information with your bank. You will not be able to pay your taxes for this fiscal year online. You must mail in your payments with a returned check fee of $61.00 for your rejected installment before the due date to avoid additional penalties. If you owe additional installments, you must mail in the check for the amount due prior to any deadline. You will be able to resume online payments for the next fiscal year.

Property-tax local instructions: Online e-check and mailed-payment precautions; saved text paragraph 9
The United States Postal Service has changed its regulations regarding postmark dates as of December 24, 2025. The postmark date will be the date the item is first processed by it’s automated processing equipment not the date it is picked up from the mailbox. You must make sure to submit your payment well before the deadline or you must walk into your local post office and request a manual postmark date to be added onto your payment envelope. You can avoid all of this by simply paying online. Your e-check payment is free of charge and will save you time and postage. We strongly encourage you to use this option as we will honor the new postmark date as receipt date.
