Assessor-administered relief for a qualifying principal residence. This is a property-tax programme, not a county VA claims-assistance office.
How to get started
- Contact the Assessor about your circumstances and the appropriate exemption claim.
- Confirm the current rules, documentation and filing date with the Assessor.
Before you start
- Information & documents
- The county lists DD-214 and a complete VA ratings decision for basic or low-income claims. Surviving-spouse claims have separate dependency, marriage and death documentation. [24]
- Availability
- The county page says the basic exemption does not require annual renewal, but also contains a blanket annual-filing statement. Confirm the applicable filing requirement with the Assessor; a universal annual deadline is not asserted here. [25]
