DPR’s booking guide explains the rolling reservation window, separate site and transaction fees, contact hours and selected reservation drawings. It does not show guaranteed inventory or a universal nightly price.
Read DPR’s current accommodation policies before booking, cancelling or changing a reservation. Accessible overnight facilities have specific proof and occupancy rules; disability documentation alone does not establish a discount.
Official FAQ for account email verification, the rolling booking window and technical assistance. Contact the reservation call center for booking issues; individual parks do not take reservations.
Santa Cruz County parks and recreation information; city parks and state parks have their own operators. Picnic reservation confirmation requires the returned signed county permit.

Join guided Loch Lomond Learning Series (LLLS) events to learn about the reservoir, wildlife, and our watersheds. New for 2026, we’ll be expanding our interpretive programming during our Newell Jewell floating classroom pontoon boat tours (aka “Newell Jewell School” (NJS)). We’ll also be continuing our interpretive walks around the reservoir and recreation area (aka “Loch Walks” (LW)). These events are free to the public, and park entry fees are waived for attendees. Attendance for these events is limited to approximately 25 people. To ensure your enrollment, please call (831) 335-7424 in advance of the events. Once you've arrived at Loch Lomond on the day of any given event, please check in with the staff at the entrance kiosk about further event details.
