Apply for health coverage

Apply for Medi-Cal and find county health coverage eligibility services.

Before you start

  • Choose your county for application and case help. Individual eligibility depends on programme rules and your circumstances.
  • Check your county renewal notice: some cases renew automatically; others need information by the stated due date.
  • Review current DHCS rules for 2026 and upcoming changes. Some county explanations still describe earlier eligibility rules.
